The picturesque and affluent community of Indian Hill is just a few miles northeast of the City of Cincinnati.  The 18.5 square miles of Indian Hill was first settled by Shawnee, Miami and Delaware Indian Tribes, who were drawn by the area’s abundant water, woodlands and fertile soil. In the late 1700’s early settlers brought farming to the area, while others built prosperous millers and merchants.  Today, several working farms remain. 

By the 1920’s well-to-do families began moving to Indian Hill from older Cincinnati areas to establish large country estates, many with luxurious stables. The original community layout included a country club with its own golf course, riding trails, polo grounds and stables – all of which are still active.
